3-Ply Surgical Mask

Characteristics

• Loose-Fitting: Comfortably fits on your face, airborne particles can however leak through due to the loose fit.
• Disposable: Made for one-time use only. Replace immediately if damaged, moist or when airflow becomes restricted.
• Soft: The inner Layer makes the mask comfortable to wear.
  
• Breathable: Airflow rate is 28L/min.

3 Layers

• Outer Layer: Hydrophobic Non-Woven
  Filters bacteria in the air surrounding the mask, as well as exhaled air from the wearer.
  
  
• Middle Layer: Spunbound Meltblown Fabric
  Finer Filtration, which is both Antifungal and Antibacterial.
  
  
• Inner Layer: Soft Absorbent Non-Woven
  Absorbs moisture and sweat from exhaled air

Why should you wear a 3-Ply Surgical Mask?

Protect your mouth and nose area, by blocking  large-particle droplets, splashes, sprays, or splatter that may contain viruses and bacteria. Surgical masks are also intended for reducing exposure of your saliva and respiratory secretions to others. 

Please note: Surgical masks are effective in blocking splashes and large-particle droplets, a face mask, does not filter or block very small particles in the air that may be transmitted by coughs, sneezes, or certain medical procedures. 

Due to the loose fit between the surface of the face mask and your face, surgical masks do not provide complete protection from germs and other contaminants . 

 Surgical masks are not intended to be used more than once. If your mask is damaged or soiled, or if breathing through the mask becomes difficult, you should remove the face mask, discard it safely, and replace it with a new one.

How to properly wear a Surgical Mask

• Wash your hands before handling your surgical mask.
• The mask should cover your mouth and nose. 
• Do not touch the mask while using it. If you do, clean your hands with alcohol-based sanitizer.
• When removing the mask, do so from behind, and do not touch the front of the mask, as it could be contaminated. Discard immediately in a closed bin, and clean your hands with alcohol-based sanitizer.

What is the Difference between N95, KN95, FFP2 and KF94

• N95 is NIOSH-Approved, which is the U.S. National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health.
• KN95 is the Chinese testing criteria, and certifies a 95% filtering score, which is the same as the U.S. certification. 
• FFP2 has a filtering score of 94%, which is the certification used by Europe. 
• KF94 is the Korean certification standard, and has a 94% filter capacity.

How to extend the life of your respirator?

By using a cleanable face-shield over your KN95 Respirator, you will be able to reduce surface contamination, caused by blood, nasal secretions (sneezing etc.) or other bodily fluids.

When to dispose of your Respirator?

• Discard after Aerosol Generating procedures.
• When your respirator is contaminated with Blood, Respiratory or Nasal Secretions, or any other Bodily Fluids from patients.
• If you have been in close contact with, or exit from the care area of any patient infected with an infectious disease requiring contact precautions.
• Never share your respirators with anybody, nor use the respirators from somebody else.
